Niranjan Meegammana, founder of e fusion (Pvt) Ltd. and the Shilpa Sayura Foundation, has dedicated many years to advancing rural education and youth development through information technology. His vision led to the creation of the Shilpa Sayura Project, an innovative local-language digital learning platform that has become an internationally recognised ICT for Development initiative.
In this feature, he reflects on the inspiration behind Shilpa Sayura and explains how his team developed the project into a global success, earning seven international ICT4D awards and two Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) awards in Sri Lanka.
